The Penn Air Group employs
only the highest standards of quality in every aspect of each job we
do. We use the latest technology available, properly trained technicians
and we make every effort to put the needs of you and your people first.
The cleaning procedure itself is a state-of-the-art process.
Large HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air filter ), vacuum collection
machines are hooked up to the ducts being cleaned. These machines create
negative air pressure in the ducts, containing all the dust and debris
stirred up by the cleaning process. This method of cleaning is recommended
by the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency).
Whenever the ducts are too small for manual entry, small access points
are made and agitation devices such as brushes and compressed air nozzles
are inserted. These brushes and air nozzles scour all interior surfaces
of the ducts, dislodging dirt and debris which is then drawn into the HEPA
filtered vacuum collector.
By accessing the duct work through the vents and small access points we
maintain the integrity of the HVAC system (Cutting many large access holes,
as is common with older, less sophisticated cleaning methods, can cause
disruptions in the air flow and result in substantial air leakage). Air
exhausting from the HEPA vacuum machines is purified to meet hospital surgical
care room requirements.
During and after cleaning, instruments such as fiber-optic borescopes,
closed circuit television cameras, inspection mirrors and 35mm cameras
are inserted through the access points to inspect and verify cleanliness.
Before and after photographs and/or videos of the system are provided on
all projects.
The Penn Air Group cleans to the National Air Duct Cleaners Association's
Standard ACR-2002 which clearly specifies that all surfaces of ductwork
and components must be visibly clean of dust and debris.
Our experienced technicians also use drop cloths and filters to protect
the air supply and environments we work in from contamination. Only EPA
registered cleaners, biocides and non-toxic coatings and paints are used
on your system.
