Energy-efficient buildings increase it’s value, study finds

Burr, writing for the CoStar Letter, (CoStar is commercial real estate information company), reports on an academic study which examines investment returns of responsible property investments. Large institutional investment firms are factoring the enhanced market value of energy-efficient property into their real estate investment models.

HVAC system coil cleaning, easy and cost-fffective

According to the April issue of Buildings Magazine, “One of the easiest, most cost-effective green things you can do for your building’s energy efficiency is to have your HVAC system’s condenser and evaporator coils inspected yearly and cleaned as necessary”. The Department of Energy says, “a dirty condenser coil can increase you compressor energy consumption by 35%.”

Albert Rolon Joins The Penn Air Group

Mr. Rolon has worked as a project manager for both Mintie Corporation and Coast Environmental, and was a HVAC Tech IV at Scripps Memorial Hospital. His expertise, in addition to project management, includes mold remediation, infectious control barriers, creating and managing environmental and safety teams, and developing HVAC maintenance programs.
